The storm is the first super cyclone to form in the Bay of Bengal since 1999. AMPHAN devastated the Sundarbans, and other districts of West Bengal. The citizens had to bear the brunt of the Cyclone with winds gusting up to 185km/h (115mph).
Mukti Jatragachi Centre has been providing Shelter Kits as an emergency relief measure to families in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Till date Mukti Jatragachi Centre has conducted three relief emergency operations, this being the fourth one. TATA MEDICAL CENTER has come forward and provided us 100 shelterrelief kits which were distributed in the affected and needy areas of Maslandapur. The CARE kit has items which will meet the basic requirements which a family might need immediately after a disaster.
The relief program was organised on 12th of July where TCS VOLUNTEERS OF MUKTI associated with Jatragachi distributed CARE KIT to 100 families of Maslandapur. TCS Volunteers of Mukti Jatragachi centre ensured that the entire program was conducted following specified guidelines by Govt. of social distancing and mask as well as sanitizers was provided to all the beneficiaries. The SHELTER KIT from TATA MEDICAL CENTER has items to help them tide over the crisis on an immediate basis. The SHELTER KIT is very thoughtfully designed with Clothes, Tarpaulin, Refined oil, Rice, Soji, Moog Dal, Masur Dal, Chickpea Dal, Salt, Sugar, Flour and Maida.
