Education is a premise of progress in every society. Mukti aims to empower education to the people in Sunderban, West Bengal. In January 2018 Mukti organised ‘’Sunderban Agriculture and Handicraft Fair’’ at the premises of Jata Temple, which lasted for three days 5th , 6th and 7th January.
The first day celebrated as ‘’Child and Mother Health’’ awareness, second day as ‘’Farmer and Environment Day’’ and third day as ‘’Education and Right’’.
On the last day of the fair a drawing competition was arranged where 35 children participated and the topic was school environment and Swaach Bharat.
The main aim of conducting the program “The Education Day” was to spread awareness among the villagers about the educational programs by Mukti such as Book Bank, Coaching Center and Talented Student Sponsorship.
The fair continued with a cultural program. The opening song was sung by Sri Pushkar Jatua a student of Mukti coaching centre. The program proceeded by melodious song by Kalipada Jatua, Uttam Santra, Sumit Mondol and beautiful dance by Sayantika Pradhan, Priyanti Bera and many others.
Chief Guest on the Education Day was Dr Tarun Kanti Naskar, Sri Aran Mistri a Teacher, Sri Uday Mondol, Sri. Rampad Haldar, student of TSS Sri Samaresh Mondol, Sri Subimal Gure a teacher and president of Mukti Sri Sankar Haldar. The guest were welcome with flower.
At the end of the program an informative speech was given by Dr. Naskar about education and why it is needed in our life. Lastly, the program concluded with the words from Sri Haldar about his view on education and service activities done by Mukti.
