Sujit Mondal
Sujit Mondal is pursuing his 1st year of M. A. in English at Dhruba Chand Halder College. He lives with his parents at Purbajata, Raidighi of South 24 Parganas district in West Bengal. He belongs to a very deprived farming family. His father’s income doesn’t meet their daily requirements. In the future, he wants to be a teacher and serve underprivileged students. His dreams took wing when Mr. Amir Hamza selected Sujit as his sponsored student.
Motivated by Mukti’s vision, this nature lover is planting trees. For the sake of his academics, he is presently staying in a mess in South Barasat, where he plants various trees in the locality. Every day he engages himself for 4-5 hours in planting new saplings and nurturing the trees.
Tiyasha Balui
Tiyasha Balui is in her 2nd year of B.Sc. Nursing from Sri Sharada College of Nursing. She resides at Uttar Kashinagar village, Raidighi of South 24 Paraganas district in West Bengal. Her family comprises her parents and younger sister. Their livelihood depends on farming. She wants to pursue higher education but the meager annual income of the family became the major obstacle in her way. She sought sponsorship and fortunately received it from Mr.Venkata Krishna Kumar Upadhyayula.
From an early age, Tiyasha loved to draw and learned to draw. Later, she was forced to quit drawing due to financial constraints. She teaches drawing once a week to 4 underprivileged children in her locality, who like her, cannot learn drawing because of poverty.
Diya Ghosh
Diya Ghosh is studying B. A. English Honours, 2nd year, 4th semester from Dinabandhu Andrews College. She stays at Mahamaya village, Raidighi of South 24 Paraganas district in West Bengal with her parents, grandparents and younger sister. She belongs to a farming family, and like most farmer families in India, she and her family never had strong financial support to meet their daily needs. But her courage and determination made her dream big and nurture her ambitions. Believing in her own capabilities, she applied for the TSS sponsorship and was sponsored by Mr. Arnab Ganguly.
Diya helps the deprived children in her locality by providing them with educational materials.
Humaira Khatun
Humaira Kahtun is pursuing MBBS 2nd Professional from Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital. Humaira resides at Mallickpur village in South 24 Pgs, West Bengal. She lost her mother when she was in class IX and is presently under the care of her stepmother. Her family consists of her father, stepmother, two younger sisters and a brother. Her father owns a cycle garage near the local market. Her parents worked hard to see Humaira become a doctor, but financial constraints became a hurdle. Eventually, after applying for TSS sponsorship, she got selected by Mr. Anirban Banerjee, who is supporting her to achieve her dream of becoming a doctor.
Humaira provides free tuition to 2 kids of her locality, one of whom is in UKG, and the other in class 1. Every day she teaches them all subjects for about 2.5 hours.
