Cyclone Amphan Emergency Relief Programs by Mukti

Amphan left a trail of devastation mainly across seven districts — the Sundarbans, in North and South 24 Parganas, was among the worst-hit regions. Without any hope, shelter, jobs and food, people of Sundarbans are passing their days in great distress. In light of this immeasurable destruction, Mukti has organized several relief work to support the people of the Sunderbans rebuild their lives.

Mukti in association with “Kolkata Gives Foundation “,organized a relief distribution program at Kalidaspur Dakshinpara village under Gosaba Block. Each of the 94 families received grocery items along with candeles and match boxes.

Mukti in association with “OAK Foundation” distributed grocery items to 500 Amphan victims at Herembogopalpur under Patharpratima Block. Mukti distributed 1 Mosquito net per head to 400 people.

Volunteers and field workers from Mukti worked with local club “Prabhati” organized a relief distribution program at Jaynagar Block I under Durgapur Gram Panchayat. “Tapabon Abasan Welfare Organisation” donates for the relief work. Each of the 65 Amphan victims were received grocery items .With this 100 masks were also distributed.
