Nurturing Dreams: Mukti’s Sponsor Student Meeting Between Mr. Amir Hamza and Students

The Mukti Talented Student Sponsorship (TSS) team organized an in-person sponsor-student meeting between Mr. Amir Hamza and his two sponsored students, Sujit Mondal and Krishnendu Mondal, on July 14, 2023, at the Mukti City Office in Garia. This meeting marked the first interaction between the trio.

Hailing from Murshidabad, Mr. Amir Hamza is an accomplished IT Professional specializing in AUTOSAR COM at Hella India Automotive Ltd. As an esteemed alumnus of the TSS program, Mr. Hamza has been generously sponsoring talented yet underprivileged students since 2019-20. On this occasion, he visited Mukti accompanied by his friend, Sushovon.

Sujit, one of Mr. Hamza’s sponsored students, is currently pursuing his second year of MA at Dhruba Chand Halder College. He resides in Paschim JataMayrapara village, situated in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, with his parents. Sujit’s father works as a farmer, and the family faces significant challenges in supporting his higher education and meeting their household needs. Hopeful that sponsorship would alleviate some of these burdens and facilitate his academic pursuits, Sujit applied to Mukti. His selection by Mr. Hamza as a sponsored student has filled him with immense gratitude. Sujit aspires to pursue a B.Ed after completing his post-graduation and aims to secure a government job. Ultimately, his dream is to become a teacher and serve underprivileged students.

Krishnendu Mondal, another beneficiary of Mr. Hamza’s sponsorship, recently appeared for the HS examination in 2023 and plans to enroll in a graduation program focusing on English honors. He resides with his parents, grandmother, and sister in Uttar Debipur, located in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Although his father earns an inconsistent income as a farmer, Krishnendu’s parents have consistently supported his educational endeavors. However, circumstances took a turn for the worse, as both Krishnendu and his elder sister have been battling Thalassemia for the past decade. This prompted Krishnendu to seek sponsorship through Mukti. The opportunity to be selected as a sponsored student by Mr. Hamza has filled him and his family with immense gratitude and relief.

 

During the sponsor student meeting, several discussions took place among Mr. Amir Hamza, Sujit Modal, Krishnendu Mondal, and the Mukti Talented Student Sponsorship team. The purpose of the meeting was to establish a personal connection between the sponsor and the students, understand their aspirations, and address any concerns or questions they may have had.

The discussions commenced with Mr. Hamza expressing his delight at meeting Sujit and Krishnendu in person. He shared his own experiences as TSS alumni and emphasized the importance of education in shaping one’s future. Mr. Hamza encouraged both students to pursue their dreams with determination and assured them of his continuous support throughout their academic journey.

Sujit, grateful for the sponsorship opportunity, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Hamza. He shared his educational aspirations, highlighting his plans to pursue a B.Ed. after completing his post-graduation. Sujit’s goal of becoming a teacher and serving underprivileged students resonated with everyone present. Krishnendu, while battling Thalassemia, conveyed his immense gratitude to Mr. Hamza for his support. He discussed his academic plans to pursue a graduation program in English honors and expressed a desire to excel in the field. The team acknowledged Krishnendu’s determination in pursuing his dreams in spite of his battle with thalassemia and assured him of assistance in finding resources, such as additional educational materials or workshops, to enhance his learning experience.

Furthermore, the students had the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance from Mr. Hamza. They discussed strategies to balance their academic and personal lives, ways to overcome challenges, and potential avenues for career growth. The team provided valuable insights and advice, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, time management, and seeking mentorship whenever needed.
