UDAAN (Propeller)

01. Why the project is?

• Economically challenged many talented students whose potential is often hindered and lack of access to quality education, particularly in competitive examination like IIT/JEE/NEET.
• These students, despite their academic abilities, are forced to abandon their educational aspirations due to the pressure to support their families financially.

02. What the project is?

• Project PROPELLER (Udaan) is a flagship educational initiative launched in 2024 through a joint effort by FORTESS and MUKTI, aimed at empowering academically bright yet economically underprivileged students aspiring to pursue careers in Engineering and Medical fields. While FORTESS leads the initiative as the principal supporter, MUKTI implements the program at the grassroots level in collaboration with the Advanced Society for Headmasters and Headmistresses (ASFHM).This strategic partnership ensures effective identification, support, and nurturing of deserving students, especially from marginalized and underserved communities.
• The project offers scholarships of up to 100% to academically meritorious students from disadvantaged backgrounds, enabling them to access high-quality preparation for competitive entrance examinations such as JEE Mains, WBJEE, and NEET. However, PROPELLER (Udaan) goes far beyond being just a scholarship scheme—it provides a comprehensive ecosystem of academic and psychosocial support designed to ensure sustained success.

03. How the project is?

• Design a hybrid coaching model that combines virtual training with in-person workshops, UDAAN ( Propeller ) strives to create a robust and flexible learning environment. Introduce profession online platform : CLASSPLUE
• High quality of coaching with the experts teacher of Maths/Physics/Chemistry and Biology.
• Personalised mentorship to guide them properly.
• Group / individual counselling classes to reduce their exam phobia/stress/anxiety.

04. Where the project is?

Location: All West Bengal , Online mode mainly with some offline workshop.

05. What the impact is?

• Established a clearer roadmap for students to improve performance in upcoming competitive examinations.
• Empowered students with practical strategies for time management and stress reduction.
• Created a transformative platform for peer-to-peer learning, where mentors share real-life experiences of overcoming academic failure.
• Strengthened the relationship between families and educators through consistent engagement and support.
• Increased student confidence and morale, leaving them feeling more focused and optimistic about their academic futures.
