01. Why the project is ?

• MUKTI established the Mukti Institute of Technology (MIT) in Sundarbans to address economic and social challenges.
• MIT provides computer skills training to vulnerable youths through designed courses.
• The initiative aims to create job opportunities and overcome poverty and marginalization.
• MIT helps youths complete technical education and gain meaningful occupations.
• It focuses on the Raidighi area of Sunderban, known for high youth unemployment and geo-climatic events

02. What the project is ?

• MIT empowers young people with practical skills for employment or self-employment ventures.
• The program aims to bridge the gap by imparting technical skills to rural youths for self-reliance.
• The Mukti Institute of Technology (MIT) is located in Kumrapara (Raidighi).
• The center provides desktop computers (1:1 ratio), a digital classroom, and high-speed internet.
• Infrastructure and limited access to information are addressed through the MIT center.

03. How the project is?

• Two full-time qualified IT faculties conduct classes in batches throughout the week.
• Focus on quality teaching and intensive hands-on training is a major strength of MIT.
• Teachers provide guidance and motivation to help local youths understand the subject and progress in their careers.
• Examinations are conducted after each course, and certificates are awarded upon successful completion.
• The Institute is accredited under ISO:9001-2015 to maintain standards and add value to the courses.

Raidighiin Mathurapur-II block of South 24 Pgs district.

05. What the impact is?

• Over 1300+ students trained since 2016.
• 150+ trained students successfully placed in different organizations.
