Role: CARE COMPANION

Position Summary:

Mukti Care is seeking empathetic and professional Care Companions to provide nonmedical support, companionship, and assistance to elderly clients across Salt Lake and Newtown. Care Companions are expected to focus on emotional engagement, documentation, and supporting elders in daily living and institutional / official interactions.

Age Group: 25 – 40 Years

No. of Positions: Male – 2, Female – 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide companionship, reading, conversations, and cognitive stimulation.
  • Accompany elders to clinics, OPD visits, or institutions.
  • Assist with form filling, system updates, and report writing.
  • Prepare structured visit reports and update Mukti Care systems regularly.
  • Observe and report any changes in elder wellbeing and behaviour pattern

Requirements:

  • 10+2 is a must. Graduation preferred.
  • Strong English reading and writing skills (essential for reporting and documentation).
  • Fluency in Bengali and Hindi; English communication is also preferred.
  • Polite, empathetic, and professional demeanour.
  • Open to learn mindset is a plus
  • Must produce valid ID proof for police verification and background check.

Duty Hours:

  • Minimum 8 hours per day, it can be extended depending upon the requirement. Any additional working hours will be reimbursed upon submission of relevant supporting documents.

 

Remuneration:

Minimum starting salary of ₹12,000 per month, with the potential for an increase based on higher customer visits, depending upon the organizational rules and management decision.

Location: Candidates residing in and around the Salt Lake and Newtown area(within 5 km radius) will be preferred.

Selected candidates must have their own scooter/motorcycle and a valid driving license. Fuel expenses will be reimbursed as per the organization’s norms.

  • NGO Passion: Deep understanding and commitment to MUKTI’s mission and the broader NGO/development sector.
  • Email Marketing Tools: Proficiency in newsletter platforms such as Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, or similar tools.
  • AI Usage Proficiency: Must be efficient in the use of Contemporary AI Applications and have expertise in creative and real exam types
  • Storytelling: Ability to turn real-world stories from beneficiaries into powerful narratives that inspire and motivate.
  • Design Sensibility: Understanding of design principles and experience working with visual content (experience with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus). Creative design of a flyer, social media post, or image for a website is desirable.

Mukti is a NSE- Social Stock Exchange listed NGO working for the wellbeing of the marginal and vulnerable people living in the rural parts of West Bengal. The organisation has grown significantly during the last few years. As we embark on a phase of consolidation and further growth during the next 5 years, partnering with leading public and private sector corporates and foundations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head – Finance & Compliance to join our team. The selected person will play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the NGO, implementing IT systems & control processes, ensuring statutory compliances and providing strategic financial guidance to the Board. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytic skills and a passion for the not -for -profit sector. The position reports to the Finance member of the Board.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
1) Develop and oversee financial strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with the organization’s goals and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership and Development:

Qualifications:
i) A Master’s degree or professional certification in finance (e.g. CA) preferred.
ii) Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and compliance roles, preferably in the not-for-profit sector or a similar environment.
iii) Good knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and compliance standards relevant to NGOs and grant-funded organizations.
iv) Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, develop insights, and make strategic recommendations.
