Mukti
started Mukti Support School (MSS) with the aim to help the children who are
deprived of basic education facilities. Mukti Support School is supplementary
education coaching support to Government school students for better result in
their study with minimal fees engaging well educated youth. MSS teachers along
with other volunteers supporting the underprivileged children to fulfill the
purpose of MSS. MSS aimed to attract more students to school and also help in
reducing school dropouts. According to a government report, the dropout rate at
the secondary school level in India is more than 17%, while the dropout rate at
upper-primary (VI to VIII) and primary level is 1.8% and 1.5%. Throughout
Sunderban, 19 MSS consisting 2045 students are actively working with the help
of 110 teachers.
MSS
aim to attract more students to school and also help in reducing school
dropouts. Students from class V to X can avail tuition on any subject with a
very minimal cost. They will be also supported with books and necessary
educational equipments. Mukti arranges sponsorship for the talented students.
Throughout Sunderban, 50 MSS are actively working with approximately 1,500
current students.
