Education is a cornerstone of our HEALER-AID program. Yet in the Sundarbans, children face a severe lack of quality schooling, while many educated women remain unemployed. To tackle this dual challenge, Mukti launched the Mukti Kishalaya Support School (MKSS)—engaging educated but unemployed women as teachers for children from Class I–IV. This approach creates a two-fold impact: quality education for children and dignified livelihoods for women.
Dual Mission:
Education for children: nurturing knowledge, confidence, and curiosity.
Livelihood for women: providing dignified employment, financial independence, and purpose.
Project Scale:
48 Centers across West Bengal
2,100 Students benefited so far
134 Teachers supported
Each school unit has four classes, with one teacher for a maximum of 20 children.
The Project Manager and Board Members supervise coordinators to ensure smooth implementation and effective outcomes.
Your support can help replicate this model across more villages, ensuring every child has access to quality education and every educated woman an opportunity to teach. Together, we can turn modest beginnings into life-changing opportunities.
