MUKTI, a non-profitable socio-economic organization, working for Sundarbans people in the Delta region of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India, has accumulated a lot of accolades. The organization has been working intensively in the Delta region of North and South 24 Parganas, West Bengal since its inception in 2003, covering almost 50,000 households, 30,000 SHG women, 3500 children in almost 54 Gram Panchayats with an objective to uplift the grassroots who are in penury, social exclusion and myriad discrimination and are extremely vulnerable to climate hazards like strong storms, cyclic cyclone and frequent dreadful disasters adding to resource dearth, penury, vulnerability and violence.
MUKTI’s mission is to work as a HEALER for our society in the area of Health, Education, Agriculture, Livelihood, Environment, Rights, Disaster Response & Relief irrespective of caste, creed, age and gender.
