Flood-Affected Families Need Immediate Support

Severe flooding in Egra, Purba Medinipur, has disrupted the lives of thousands of families, affecting access to food, safe drinking water and essential supplies.

MUKTI is responding to the emergency across 9 affected villages:

• Chakmirari

• Sahara Palli Shree

• Hatpada

• North Alipur

• South Alipur

• Bag

• Sahara High

• Khodkul

• Barendia

Our immediate goal is to support 5,000 flood-affected families with essential relief, with a focus on safe drinking water and emergency food support.

MUKTI Is Already Responding

MUKTI's local team and 20 volunteers are working with communities to reach families affected by the flooding and provide urgent assistance.

As part of the immediate response, MUKTI is distributing:

• 2,000 × 20-litre bottles of safe drinking water

• Emergency food and essential relief supplies

• Support to vulnerable and severely affected households

The relief effort will prioritise families who have limited access to safe drinking water and essential necessities due to flooding.
