Brajeshwar Roy
I am Brajeshwar Roy, son of Bijay Roy and Arati Roy. Today, as I stand in my internship after completing my MBBS from AIIMS Guwahati, it feels like a dream I once thought was impossible. My journey has been full of struggles. In 2018, my father suffered from paralysis and has been unable to work since then. Watching him go through that phase was one of the most difficult experiences of my life. My mother, a homemaker, tried her best to hold the family together, but financially, things were extremely challenging. There was a time when even arranging fees, books, and basic necessities felt like a burden too heavy to carry. The future seemed uncertain, and at times, I felt lost and helpless. Everything began to change in 2022, when Mukti NGO came into my life, along with the generous support of my sponsor, Mr. Venkata Krishna Kumar Upadhyayula. Their support was not just financial—it was a ray of hope in one of the darkest phases of my life. It gave me strength when I was close to giving up, and reminded me that I was not alone. Through Mukti, I learned that kindness can change lives. I learned that even in the toughest situations, there are people who believe in you and lift you up. Their support gave me the courage to continue my journey and stay focused on my dream of becoming a doctor. Today, whatever I am, and wherever I stand, is because someone chose to believe in me when I needed it the most. In the future, I carry a promise within myself to help students who are facing struggles like mine. I want to become that support system for someone else, just like Mukti has been for me. I may never fully express my gratitude in words, but I will always carry it in my heart. Thank you for believing in me.
