Antu Kaibartya
My name is Antu Kaibartya, and I am from Monteswar, Purba Bardhaman. I come from a simple family of four — my father, my mother, my brother, and me. My father works as a daily wage farmer, my mother is a homemaker, and my brother has completed his master’s degree and supports his studies through private tuition. Growing up in such a family, I always understood the value of hard work, sacrifice, and education. In 2022, I qualified through WBJEE and got admission into Jadavpur University. It was one of the proudest moments of my life, but my journey was not easy. Because I had a one-year drop, I could not get any scholarship in my first year. During that time, I managed my studies through private tuition and tried my best to continue without losing focus. Still, the financial pressure on my family kept increasing. By the second year, our financial condition became even more difficult. I knew that if I wanted to continue my education properly, I needed support. So I started looking for scholarships in many places, but I did not receive any proper response. That period was full of stress and uncertainty, and I often wondered how I would move forward. Then, through one of my seniors, I came to know about Mukti Scholarship. I also learned about Shankar Haldar Sir, whose work and motivational videos inspired me deeply. Among Mukti’s many initiatives, one of the most meaningful for students like me was the TSS Scholarship. I applied, and fortunately, I was selected. What made this support even more special was that the financial assistance for the TSS Scholarship was sponsored by JUALUMNI. I am truly grateful to them for standing beside students like me at a crucial time. Their support gave me the courage to continue my education without giving up. It was not just financial help — it was a belief in my future. With that assistance, I was able to take online courses, improve my learning, and receive better guidance for my academic journey. Mukti also taught me something much bigger than scholarship support. It taught me that education is not only about personal success, but also about understanding responsibility toward society and remembering those who need help. Today, I am proud to say that I have secured a job at JSW Energy through campus placement, and I will be joining soon as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. Looking back, I can clearly see how important Mukti’s support was in shaping my journey. At a time when my family was struggling and my future felt uncertain, Mukti, the TSS Scholarship, and the sponsorship from JUALUMNI gave me the strength to move ahead. I remain deeply thankful to Mukti, Shankar Haldar Sir, the authorities, and the JU Alumni sponsors for believing in students like me. Their kindness has had a lasting impact on my life. In the future, I hope to extend the same support to other deserving students who are facing financial hardship, so that they too can continue their dreams without fear.
