Maitreyee Baidya
I am Maitreyee Baidya. I come from a background where hardships are inevitable But the dream of becoming a doctor has never subsided. From the very beginning onwards, I was clear with my goals what I wanted. It was simply becoming a healer, healer in whatever way possible. Biology had been my inclination which compelled me to take up Science in the 11th standard, that's when my preparation for NEET UG began. I couldn't afford expensive coaching for my preparation, thus free YouTube videos became my source of preparation. With God's grace and blessings of my parents I cleared the NEET UG examination and got admitted in Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital for the MBBS curriculum. That's where another phase of my life started. Just when it felt that it was difficult to reach out for the educational applications for better learning, international books to gain more knowledge, Mukti organisation and most importantly Sanjeev Tayal Sir came to me as an angel in disguise. The immense help that I have received not only monetary support but also the emotional support, the motivation all of these are helping me in becoming a better person each day. Mukti has clearly showed me the purpose of my life. Through the various health camps Mukti conducted and providing me the opportunity to attain one of them it has showed me what I am born for. To serve my nation, to serve the needy that's what I am made for. Thus, amid sleepless nights, stressful Vivas and the sacrifices I successfully cleared 4 professional MBBS examination and here I am, an MBBS intern with blessings of almighty and my elders taking small steps trying to reach my goals and become a better person each day.
