I am Arpan Kumar Dandapat from Salboni, Paschim Medinipur. There are four of us in our family, me,my parents and my grandmother. My father is a farmer and teach tuition to two kids of our village. My mother is a housewife and my grandmother is ill. And I am studying.I heard of Mukti scholarship from youtube. As I previously mentioned sir, I belong to middle class family, whenever I came to know I got chance in Jadavpur, a government college, I was so much overjoyed that my father will get relief now. Then the thought came of where to stay these four years. Despite my relatives forbade me to stay at hostel,I made my mind to stay there as it will help my father financially, I applied for hostel. But then, I learnt from seniors and other staffs that there are huge reservations for minorities.And though there are some seats for general there are two criterias. Firstly, our income has to be lesser than 80,000 per year which I fulfilled, but besides our home from college has to be around 200 km away, where I failed to justify so I got rejected for hostel.Hence,to reside in mess in Salt Lake will take around Rs.10,000 per month including meal.Besides, IT department in Jadavpur costs way more than other branches despite being government college.So I searched for scholarships, but in most of them college id card is needed, so I couldn't apply as Jadavpur hasn't started yet till date. Hence I need this scholarship so much. If I become able to get that scholarship, my father don't have to face this much stress and trouble for my studies. He will get atleast some rest now from all of his hardworks. |
