About |
My name is Sudipta Dhal, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering degree at Jadavpur University. I hail from Dahijuri, Jhargram, West Bengal 721504 and come from a family of five, including my mother, father, and two sisters, both of whom are married. My mother is a dedicated housewife, while my father runs a small pan stall on the footpath of our village, which has been our family's primary source of income. I learned about this scholarship opportunity from a friend, and it comes at a crucial time for us. Since my sister's marriage, our family has faced significant financial challenges, exacerbated by the pandemic. My father's shop had to close for a while, and recently, the West Bengal government removed all roadside stalls, including my father's. Despite these hardships, I worked hard for two years preparing for the JEE exam, relying solely on self-study due to financial constraints that prevented me from attending coaching classes. I successfully cleared both the WBJEE and JEE Main exams, securing admission at Jadavpur University, although I chose not to pursue admission at an NIT due to their high fees.
Receiving this scholarship would greatly alleviate our current financial difficulties and enable me to focus on my studies. In the future, once I am stable in my career, I am committed to helping students in similar situations who face financial struggles. Thank you for considering my application. |
