My name is Souvik Karmakar and I'm from Bhadur, Hooghly. Currently, I'm in my 1st year, pursuing a M.Voc. degree at Seacom Skills University . I'm an orphan; my mother passed away due to breast cancer when I was in class 4th standard, and my father passed away due to suicide when I was in class 7th standard.
I've a brother who is studying at Jadavpur University. After my parents death we got a few help from my father's friends but now they are unable to support any more. I'm currently staying at an urban homeless shelter. There is no provision for any kind of monthly stipend for the master's degree I am pursuing. At this moment, I worked a part-time job as a food delivery agent at Swiggy.
Now I'm now unable to pay my University fees & others fee. This scholarship will help me greatly in overcoming this financial crisis. I aspire to work with Mukti Organisation, and I'm currently involved with Team Everest's NGO and NSS, which serves the community. |
