My name is Manoj Halder, and I’m from Kalna, Purba Bardhaman. I am in my 4th year and currently pursuing my B.E degree at Jadavpur University.
There are five members in my family. My father was a day laborer, but due to his age and illness, he cannot work anymore. My mother is a housewife and is suffering from liver disease. My elder brother is married and works at a Chowmin factory to support the family. We have a loan of Rs. 50,000 from Bandhan Bank.
Since completing my diploma, I have been working as a private tutor, which helped me cover my hostel and college expenses. However, after passing the WBPSC JE (Civil) written examination (09/2022), I have been unable to continue tutoring because I am focusing on preparing for the interview, which has already started and my phase will come this December. This has caused financial difficulties, and I am struggling to pay my hostel mess bills and other expenses.
I learned about the Mukti Scholarship from my friend Soumik Dhar and believe that it could provide the financial support I need to overcome this challenging period and focus on my preparation for the WBPSC JE interview. I aspire to work with the Mukti Organization in the future. |
