My name is Abhisikta Dey, and I have recently completed BSc in Physics Honours along with Chemistry and Mathematics from BGC in West Bengal. I live in Barasat. I come from a middle class background family. My father, Shri Apu Dey used to work as a staff member at a private firm, but unfortunately, due to cost-cutting measures resulting from the pandemic, he lost his permanent job. Presently, he takes up occasional contractual work at construction sites, but the income remains uncertain. His annual earnings amount to a meager 60,000 INR, making it extremely challenging for us to make ends meet. Ever since I can remember, my passion for astrophysics has burned bright within me. I find great joy in immersing myself in astrophysics books and documentaries, constantly seeking to expand my knowledge of the universe. It is my dream to become an astrophysicist at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), combining my love for physics with space exploration. I am writing to you with great hope and anticipation, seeking your kind consideration for a scholarship opportunity. Fortunately, I got selected by YCPL/VIVO. I am really thankful to them. |
