I am Shreyasi Karmakar, 4th year B.A LLB student from Jyotirmoy School of Law under Calcutta University, and I live with my father at Champahati village in South 24 pgs district in West Bengal. I lost my mother when I studied in class X. I passed Madhyamik from Amiyabala Balika Vidyalaya with 49 % in 2015 and passed XII from the same school with 64% in 2017. My dream is to become a lawyer and stand by my family. My father was involved in telecom service, but after covid lockdown his income was unstable. Recently he is totally unemployed and searching for a job. Though my financial background was not stable from the start, I have been supported by my maternal family as my mother was a patient of Thrombocytopenia. Lockdown created this situation even worse. I am struggling with my last year's education expenses. My total expenses of my study with books & tuition's fees go on nearly 60000/-year. This huge amount is very much difficult for my family to bear in this situation .So I applied in Mukti for a scholarship. With the hope of getting a chance to be sponsored by a great human being, then I can complete my higher studies. Fortunately I got selected by Ms. Ruchira Mandal and I am very thankful to her. |
