MUKTI is a socio-economic organization that has been working for the upliftment of the Sunderban region of West Bengal for a decade now. It is a truly grassroots organization that was founded by a group of people born and brought up in the region, and many of the programs are owned by the beneficiaries themselves.
From a conviction that lasting positive impact requires a holistic approach, MUKTI has designed projects in various fields such as education, livelihood generation, environment, health, women’s empowerment, rights, and culture.
