On May 31 and June 1 Mukti distributed 300 canvas sheets (tripals) in two centers (Samanta para and Damkal villages) in Nagendrapur. This effort is in conjunction with the food kitchen that Mukti is running at these centers.
Mukti is also encouraging people who are staying in centers for more than one week return to their own land and build temporary shelters with the tripals provided. Mukti is taking the steps amidst concern about spreading of communicable diseases as large number of people are living in a very small area without proper sanitation, privacy.
To expedite return migration to their own place, Mukti is providing with few days food (10-15 kg rice and other food) and tripals to build temporary housing.
