On 9th Nov 2009 Mukti organized coconut seedling distribution ceremony where 3000 seedling were been distributed to 1000 villages. Coconut development board eastern zone director Mr Sougata Ghose was present in the program.

Mukti organized free solar light distribution to needy student on merit basis.

The program took place atJata Jogendrapur Higher secondary School, Raidighi, South 24 parganas.644 books were distributed among 245 students of various classes starting from class VI to class XII, those books are new.This is a aila affected school, situated in sunderban region.

Mukti trained 40 farmers for nutrition garden using organic farming concept. These are the photos from their own garden. The project is being executed with the help of DRCSC and AID.

Post Aila land reclamation and organic farming. Farmers used organic method to reclaim their land and cultivated traditional paddy.

Along with many Goverment and non goverment organization Mukti took part in a big rally at Kolkata for Save the sunderban program of global warming and climate change.

Mukti Self Help Group (SHG) project has been started successfully. As Mukti had been operating several SHG in Nagendrapur and Kankandighi GP of sunderban from last one year, it was a great challenge to make low income village woman group independent.

On 20 December 2009, Sunday, Members and activists of mukti did the campaigning for save the sunderban where 14th annual senior citizens’ walking race was organised by the Uttarpara ideal youth Society, Uttarpara

Christmas 2009 couldn’t have been spent in a better way for Mukti India volunteers and members as they successfully implemented another solar project in the interiors of Sundarban. On the auspicious day Mukti India, with full support and help from Mukti USA and One Million Lights, distributed 40 solar lamps among needy but hardworking students and some poor villagers of Dakshin Kankandighi, Sundarban.

Councillor and motivator Dr Sidhartha Gangully was invited to Mukti for his excellent motivation talk and presentation to boost up Mukti's student's attitudes.

Financial help from Asha Zurich. 50 Aila affected received tarpaulin sheet as those affected people still not received any aid from government to build their house.

Damdam Hindu academi teachers cam to Mukti to help Madhyamic students with a 2 days education camp.

Mr Somnath Mukharji from AID-Boston Visited Mukti Aila affected working area on 18&19 Feb 2010. It ia shocking that after 10 months of Aila, still people of Sunderban is leaving under open sky.

25 people of Sunderban (Nagendrapur GP) are taking 20 days Rock Bees training from Khadi at Mukti.

Mukti and AID started community kitchen project for Aila affected people. After 10 months of Aila cyclone still many people of Sunderban starving. They do not have any source of income to feed themselves. Mukti started 4 centres in Kankandighi and Nagendrapur GP where more that 50 people getting daily food.
